Teen Reading Challenge & Treasure Hunt

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in the Quad City wide Teen Reading Challenge. Stop by the library to pick up a Challenge log (or print one here) and record how much time you spend reading (including reading for school, for pleasure, and even online!) between September 30 and October 19. Read at least 250 minutes to get a prize and an invitation to the Challenge Final Party on Friday, October 25 at the Rock Island Public Library. Get entered into drawings for reaching 500, 750, and 1000 minute levels. Don’t live in Moline? No problem. Participating libraries include Bettendorf, Coal Valley, Davenport, East Moline, LeClaire, Moline, Muscatine, Port Byron, Rock Island, Scott County, Sherrard, and Silvis.

You can also stop by the Moline Library and follow clues to win prizes during the Seek the Unknown Treasure Hunt. Visit the
library between September 30 and October 19 to pick up your clue booklet. Find the treasures, stamp your booklet, and return it to the reference desk to get a prize. All entries will also go into a drawing for a grand prize of a $10 gift card for FYE.
