A Librarian Reads…

Looking for Alaska by John Green

When Miles chooses to go to boarding school his junior year, he’s hoping to find his “Great Perhaps.” What he gets is a roommate and best friend (The Colonel), a nickname (Pudge), and a crush on an unknowable girl (Alaska). Though he can’t seem to make up his mind about whether Alaska is amazing or crazy, one thing is sure: Pudge can’t keep his mind off her. But no matter how hard he tries, he can’t seem to figure her out, and even when it seems too late, he just keeps trying.

If you’re a fan of John Green and haven’t checked this one out yet, make sure you do. You’ll also enjoy this one if you’re a fan of books that keep you guessing, even long after the end. Recommended for high school and up due to some mature situations.
