A Librarian Reads…

Armada by Ernest Cline

The only things Zack has ever been good at are video games and connecting with the father who died when he was a baby. He loves his father’s music and movies and games. He isn’t quite as sure what to think about his dad’s notebook full of ideas on how the government has been using sci-fi movies and video games to train civilians to prepare for an intergalactic war. But then he sees a spaceship from his favorite game flying outside of his school. And then men in black come for him. Now the adventure Zack has always dreamed about is coming true in the most terrifyingly possible way.

Fans of science fiction, video games, and 80s culture will love this book. Even if you don’t get all the references, the non-stop action and drama will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page.
