A Librarian Reads…

Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway

Emmy and Oliver were born just hours apart and were next door neighbors and best friends. Until the day in second grade when Oliver’s father picked him up from school and never brought him home. For ten years, Emmy has missed her best friend and dreamed of the day he would come home. And then he does. But they aren’t seven anymore, and can’t just pick up where they left off. As they get to know each other again it’s clear their relationship has changed. Can they be friends again? Or maybe something more?

Fans of romance may be disappointed, but the friendship between Emmy, Oliver, and their other two best friends is strong and true. Recommended for high school and up.
