A Librarian Reads…

Ms. Marvel: Volume One by G. Willow Wilson (Graphic Novel)

Kamala Khan is a lot of things: Pakistani girl, gamer, fanfic writer, friend, daughter, sister. The one thing she’s not is a superhero. At least, not until the mist hits Jersey City. A vision of her favorite heroes offers her a choice, and she chooses to be just like Captain Marvel. The power to shift size and shape lets her become someone else for a while. But even as she fights the evil inventor to save missing teenagers, Kamala learns that being herself might be the biggest challenge of all.

Fans of Marvel will love this new edition. Anyone who wonders where they fit in the world will connect with Kamala’s journey to find her place. Recommended for middle school and up.
