A Librarian Reads…

Buzz Kill by Beth Fantaskey

Millie wants nothing more than to coast through her senior year until she can graduate and her real life can start. But she has a strange habit of being accidentally in the spotlight—usually in a good way. When she discovers the body of the football coach, however, her life takes a sudden turn for the worse. Her dad is a suspect, her life-long rival fights her for the right to report the story in the school newspaper, and her only ally in her own private investigation is the handsome and mysterious Chase. Despite her quick wit and refusal to take anything seriously, the odds stack up quickly against Millie. With so much on the line, will she be able to channel her inner Nancy Drew in time to save the day?

Recommended for high school and up.
