A Librarian Reads…

Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman

Caden lives in two worlds. In one he is a normal, if increasingly anxious, teenager. In another he sails with the Captain toward an unknown and unattainable destination. As these two worlds come together, Caden’s mental illness is explored in a unique, terrifying, and sensitive manner.

This book may be a challenge, but readers willing to go along for the ride will be rewarded as they piece Caden’s stories together along with him. Recommended for High School and Up.
