A Librarian Reads…

Nimona by Noelle Stevenson

When Nimona shows up in the secret lair of super-villain Ballister Blackheart, he has no intention of accepting her offer to be his sidekick. But then she turns into a shark. Probably should have mentioned she was a shapeshifter from the start. As he reluctantly takes her under his wing, Nimona questions his methods and motivations. If he’s the bad guy, why is he so concerned about following the rules and not hurting anyone? Together, they work to bring down the Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics. And somewhere along the way they might just even become friends. The good guys are corrupt, the villains are the real heroes, and enemies are friends.

This graphic novel is highly recommended to fans of heroes and villains, kick-butt female protagonists, and anyone who enjoys a great read, in high school and up.
