A Librarian Reads…

NEED by Joelle Charbonneau

When Kaylee’s best friend, Nate, invites her to a secret social networking site that promises to grant you anything you need, her first instinct is to turn him down. After all, Kaylee is about as unpopular as you can get these days. On the other hand, there is something she needs, something she needs so much she’s already sacrificed almost everything in her life to try to get—a new kidney for her brother. As more and more people get involved, it soon takes more than inviting friends to have your requests granted. Delivering packages and notes seems like innocent enough tasks. It doesn’t take long before the whole thing begins to spiral out of control. The tasks get darker and more dangerous and the body count starts to rise, and Kaylee is stick in the heart of it all.

An intense mystery thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Recommended for high school and up.
