A Librarian Reads…

23 Minutes by Vivian Vande Velde

Zoe is a time traveler—sort of. She has the ability to play back time for 23 minutes, up to ten times. She’s played around with this gift a lot since she discovered it a few years ago, and it’s come in handy a time or two. But she never imagined someone’s life would depend on it. When she gets caught up in a bank robbery that ends in a shooting, Zoe simply can’t at least try to fix the situation. Especially since the really cute guy who was nice to her is one of the victims. But changing the story isn’t as easy as you’d think. And each time Zoe goes back something else goes wrong.

Zoe is a complex and likeable character you will root for. Recommended for grades seven and up.
