Students in grades 4 through 8 can make Bristlebots, simple micro robots made from a tooth-brush head and micro motor. This workshop is part of the Project Next Generation grant. No registration required and bus passes are available to participants.
YouTube Contest for Teens
Quad City teens in grades 6-12 can create a 3-5 minute video for a chance to win $100. In teams of up to five people, make a video based on one of this year’s themes. Upload your movie to YouTube, submit a hard copy to your library, and turn in the entry form. Entries are due March 1st. A Premiere Party will be held March 7th at 6:00 p.m. at the Putnam.
