A Librarian Reads…

Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum

When Jessie was fourteen she lost her mom to cancer. Two year later her dad came home from what was supposed to be a business trip and announced he’d eloped with a woman he met online. Now Jessie finds herself transplanted from her simple life in Chicago to living among strangers—including her own father—and attending a posh private school in Los Angeles. What she needs is a guardian angel. And she gets one. An anonymous email from “Somebody Nobody” offers support and guidance. Reluctant at first, Jessie comes to depend on SN as she navigates mean girls, new friendships, and a crush on an unattainable guy. Who is SN? Could he be someone she could love as much in real life as she does online?

Recommended for grades 7 and up.
