When Lucy was eight years old she was struck by lightning. She survived, but she was changed. For one thing, she became a math savant, able to do complex calculations and equations with ease. She also developed OCD, unable to sit unless she did it three times and hyper-alert about germs. Now twelve, she’s finished high school and even taken some college classes online. Then her grandmother insists Lucy attend middle school for a year. Lucy is determined to blend in and simply survive the ordeal, but while she can pretend not to be good at math, it’s harder to hide her compulsions.
