Use science and chemistry to create an Edible Water Bottle as part of the Tween Steam Club on Monday, April 1 @ 6:00 p.m. Open to grades 4-8. Space is limited and registration is required. This program is developed pursuant to a Library Services and Technology act grant administered by the Illinois State Library using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
The Teen Advisory Group is your chance to help plan programs and events for teens, recommend new books and materials for the library, earn service credits, make friends, and have fun. The next meeting will be on Thursday, April 4 @ 3:30 p.m. Grades 6-12.
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to an Interactive Movie Program featuring Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on Thursday, April 4 at 5:30 p.m. in the second floor program room. Enjoy crafts and other activities related to the film. Registration is required and space is limited.
Students in grades 6-12 can submit ONE original poem of up to 30 lines in the Teen Poetry Contest. Entry forms are available at the library or online at https://bit.ly/2Gi5lAz. Deadline for submissions is Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Prizes will be $25, $15, and $10 gift certificates for first, second, and third places in each category (middle school or high school).
