A Librarian Reads…

Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs? by Caitlin Doughty

If you’ve ever wondered what happens to bodies after death, this is a must-read. Doughty, a funeral director, gets questions about this topic all the time, and the best ones come from children. In answering thirty-five of her favorites, she also gives a lot of information about death, funeral customs, legal issues, and much more.

Though it sounds grim, this book is filled with humor. Short chapters make for easy reading. Highly recommended for readers in middle school and up who are curious about the realities of death or enjoy humorous nonfiction.
