This year’s Teen Reading Challenge runs September 22 through October 19. Pick up a Reading Log and keep track of how many minutes you read for prizes and an invitation to a party in your honor.

The Write Now! Writers Group is open to teen and adult writers of all genres and writing levels. Meetings take place on the first and third Mondays at 6:00 p.m. in the Moline Public Library 2nd floor program room. Bring up to 6 pages (double spaced) of a current writing project to share with the group for advice and feedback.

Students in grades 4 through 10 are invited to an interactive showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas at the Moline Public Library on Thursday, October 24 at 6:00 p.m. Follow the script to add an extra layer of fun to this holiday classic. Registration required. Costumes optional.

The Friends of the Moline Public Library will be holding an Overflow Book Sale on Friday, October 25, noon to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 26, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Students in grades 4-8 can use resistors, transistors, and other components along with programming to complete tasks and experiment to create your own devices in our Arduino Science Project. Space is limited and registration is required.

Tuesday, April 10 @ 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Anime Club
 is open to teens and tweens in grades 6 through 12 who love anime, manga, and all things Japanese. Drop by to watch anime, enjoy snacks, and make new friends.

Students in grades 6-12 can submit a poem in the Teen Poetry Contest for a chance to win up to $25. Information and entry form are available HERE. Entries are due April 20.
