The Library will be closed on Monday, December 31 and Tuesday, January 1 for the New Year’s holiday.

The Teen Advisory Group will meet on Thursday, January 3 @ 3:30 p.m. TAG is your chance to help plan programs and events for teens, recommend new books and materials for the library, earn service credits, make friends, and have fun. Grades 6-12.

Students in grades 6-12 can submit a poem in the Teen Poetry Contest for a chance to win up to $25. Information and entry form are available HERE. Entries are due April 20.

Stop by the library for a Solar Eclipse Viewing. Weather permitting, members of the Popular Astronomy Club will help people safely view this rare event that begins at 11:48am, reaches its maximum at 1:14pm, and ends at 2:38pm.

The Library will be closed on Thursday, August 28 for a Staff In-Service.

The Moline Public Library will be closed on Friday, April 3 for the Spring Holiday. We will be open on Saturday, April 4 from 9:00 to 5:30.

Teen Poetry Contest
Entries for the Moline Public Library is Poetry Contest are due Friday, April 10, 2015. Students in grades 6-12 can submit one (1) original poem in the category of short (up to 12 lines) or long (up to 25 lines). Prizes will be $25, $15, and $10 gift certificates for first, second, and third places in each category. All poets are invited to the Awards Ceremony and Poetry Café on Thursday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Moline Public Library. Poets can read their poems and prizes will be awarded. Entry forms are available at the Library or here.
