The Write Now! Writers Group is open to teen and adult writers of all genres and writing levels. Meetings take place on the first and third Mondays at 6:00 p.m. in the Moline Public Library 2nd floor program room. Bring up to 6 pages (double spaced) of a current writing project to share with the group for advice and feedback.

The Figge Art Museum Outreach staff will be at the Library on Saturday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. for a presentation on artist Vanessa German and a Found Objects Art Activity. This program is open to teens and adults and registration is required.

The Write Now! Writers Group is open to teen and adult writers of all genres and writing levels. Join us on July 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the Moline Public Library 2nd floor program room. Bring up to 6 pages (double spaced) of a current writing project to share with the group for advice and feedback.

Do You . . . Sing? Juggle? Dance? Act? Do magic? Tell jokes? Play an instrument? Do spoken word? Have some other hidden talent? We would love to see it! Join us for the Moline Public Library Talent Show on Saturday, August 17, 2019. All ages and types of family-friendly amateur entertainment welcome. Perform solo or in a group. Acts will have a 12’x24′ performance area, and a maximum of 6 minutes including set, entrance, and exit. Registration forms are available online and at the Library. Deadline extended until July 27.  Spots are limited, so early application is recommended. Performers will be assigned a time slot between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please plan to be available at any time during those hours. The Library will contact you with your time by August 3.

Bring a clean white item of clothing to dye into beautiful color and design at a Tie-Dye Drop-In on Saturday, June 22 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Program will be held in the Library’s back parking lot. All ages. No registration required.

Teens in grades 6 through 12 are invited to a Nailed It! Decorating Contest on Monday, June 24 at 6:00 p.m. Try your hand at decorating a cookie and cupcake for a chance to win a prize–and of course, eat your creations! Registration is required and space is limited.

This program is developed pursuant to a Library Services and Technology act grant administered by the Illinois State Library using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Kick off the Library’s Summer Reading Program with a pool party at Riverside Park’s Aquatic Center on Sunday, June 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Patrons should arrive by 6:30 p.m. in order to be admitted to the party. All pool rules must be followed. Space is limited and registration is required. Registration for this program constitutes registration for the summer reading program.

Tweens and teens ages 8 to 14 can compete in Live Clue: Video Game World on Thursday, June 6 at 6:00 p.m. Characters from video games have all ended up in a single video game world and someone has been murdered. Can you figure out who did it, with what weapon, and where? Registration is required and space is limited.
